There is a steady influx of unreached people in the Nova - DC Metropolitan area; particularly in and near Tyson’s Corner where commercial developments and a high concentration of business campuses attract recent graduates and a variety of other young adults . New Life hopes to appeal to such unchurched groups and bring them into a personal relationship with Christ and disciple them for the glory of God.
Innovation and freshness is valuable in reaching young people. A church plant in Tyson’s would be effective in reaching non-believers, especially the Gen-X and Y demographic. Peter Wagner, a noted author and a professor of missiology and church growth states: “Church planting is the most effective means of evangelism.” New Life hopes to facilitate such evangelism.
Experienced, well-grounded teaching and pastoring is imperative in developing a place to be God glorifying and Christ-centered. And the genuine spiritual life that flows from such leadership is pivotal in attracting all classes of people to God.
