About Outreach
In the great words of Barney the Dinosaur, "sharing is caring." When we get blessed, we're supposed to pay it forward and bless others so that the blessing chain continues and doesn't remain disclosed between just two people.
In James 1.27, the Bible states, "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." As such, we need to go out and love on people. Giving from afar of what we have (albeit monetary donations or material possessions) from afar is wonderful too, but sowing with our time and labor is the sweetest of all offerings.
Also in Matthew 22:39, it proclaims, "Love your neighbor as yourself."
God designed us to be communal and compassionate.
The Bible also says, "Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way
will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins," in James
5.20. The grace and blood of Jesus set us free and washed us pure as snow.
We need to spread that good news to those who are desolate and in need, trusting that God would heal, restore, bless, and rebuild His children. Jesus is coming, that's for sure. It really could be any time or day.
Our mission field is here, right now in our midst! We at New Life Church believe in the great commission and desire to go out to the plentiful harvest field or lacking workers. Come join us and be blessed to be a blessing!
